Crayolacube combinatorics

starting
from the worldtree

and its
individual lifelines

isolate any
line segment
and flatten its spatial dimensions
down to just x
(with time as y)

paint this segment
using any convenient mapping
(eg the crayolacube
red-evil blue-sad
yellow-sick or -enslaved)

classify your segment by
start-color
and end-color

ignoring intermediate values
(here greyed)

notice the formal analogy
with the i ching's 64 hexgrams
permuting eight trigrams

each colorchange
within any segment
must have
causes

some expected
some unexpected

now
isolate any pair of segments
that start and end
at the same times

and classify this pair
by its two start colors
and its two end colors
(8^4 = 4096, too slow to render)

#1 of 64

sometimes the colorchange
in one segment
will help cause the colorchange
in the other segment

via
a strong or weak
linkage
strong
weak

Toward a unified model of information

[thoughtmesh edition w/extra links]

my whole life since
maybe 1969
i've been struggling to write
a single book

with an evershifting shape but always
a psychology text
that at least sketches an outline
of human motivation
viewed thru a literary lens

like 'the sims XVI'
in textbook form

like solace perhaps
a composition of extracts
of nuances

like brainfeathers or finnegans wake
everyman's everyhistory

like laws of form or antimath
built up elegantly
from a single bit

like a pattern language for literary patterns

like polti or roget
a classification of plots
of story skeletons

like knuth a catalog
of data structures and algorithms

like cyc
a knowledgebase of common sense

like adler's syntopicon
an inventory of philosophies
wisdom marked up for robots
like the semantic web

a hierarchy of metadata
most urgent first

a constitution
for some possible utopia

and now centered on
colored lines in spacetime

x normally longitude-space
y simply ordinary time

with one line per
true human lifestory

and now with a suggested
simple first coloring

white for happy familymembers
all alike

blue for sad
red for bad

yellow for sickly
or better
for enslaved?

The crayolacube and the Worldtree

trisect a cube
into 8 cubelets
(8/27ths of a rubik)

balance it on any point

color the top cubelet white
and the bottom cubelet black

the upper three-layer
red yellow blue

the lower three-layer
orange green purple

call this a crayolacube

in antimath i explored
dozens of literary permutations
of (-, 0, +)

but using the crayolacube
we can raise that to the 3rd power

white = +++
black = ---
redyellowblue = ++-
orangegreenpurple = +--

and if we can discover
an optimal assignment
of these 3 dimensions
we should generate a
polti vocabulary
with 100s or 1000s
of distinct story skeletons

try
(happy, healthy, good) for white
(unhappy, unhealthy, evil) for black

(pullman's satanic yhwh
was also sickly and sad)

but the trick here is to recognise
that (red yellow blue) don't represent
the 3 virtues
but rather the 3 vices
each polluting virtuous white
to a minimally diluted primary

say blue = sad
yellow = sickly
red = evil

and orangegreenpurple
are then doubly dilute

orange = evil and sickly but happy
(think montgomery burns)

green = sickly and sad but good
(a tragic dickens martyr-heroine)

purple = evil and sad but healthy
(kissinger?)
((could even jill st john make him smile?))

now we can paint the worldtree

yellow plagues lopping branches

blue moods
driving emos and scandinavians
to suicide

red wickedness usurping
political and economic power

children born innocent/white
yellowing occasionally with measlesmumpschickenpox

evil parents necessarily
breeding unhappy children

increasingly unhappy blue during adolescence

all experimenting with a little red evil
drinks drugs sex cruelty
happiness destroyed
(blue green purple black palette)
or health destroyed
(yellow orange green black palette)

some committing to evil
(red orange purple black palette)

maybe just until a brush with
black misery and death
reawakens their conscience

take any single human branch
and straighten it into a baton

the baton's sequence of crayola colors
is one possible view
of that person's life 'movie'

happy or sad
short or long
rich or dull
selfish or selfless

(is there much correlation here
to favorite music genres?
blue-emo red-metal white-gospel?)

happy palette: white yellow orange red

healthy palette: white red purple blue

good palette: white yellow green blue

Rainbow intimacy on the Worldtree

first color the whole
worldspace
(not just the tree)
so that public regions of spacetime
(visible to six or more people)
are blue
down to violet where
they're only visible to one

at night in the dark
by this definition
most space is private

now color
each branch's activities
similarly
violet for the most private/intimate
blue for the most public

violet activities will of course
take place usually
in violet spaces

with catastrophic exceptions
like the starr report
or peewee herman's arrest

we can also choose a single branch
as 'focus'
and color other branches
according to the degree of access
they've granted the focus-branch

mostly only public/blue
with exceptions mostly
clustered nearby

most people will enjoy some community
that shares a (semi)private space
for (semi)private group activities

and newcomers to an area
will only slowly
be admitted to these

Rainbow logic on the Worldtree

in worldtree visualisations
non-spacetime dimensions
(ie parameters
variables
ranges-of-values)
are normally represented as
rainbow-spectrum colorings

we can call a coloring 'progressive'
if each rainbow-color
in chronological sequence
in some way dominates the graph

eg a human value-system
colors each turning
of each human branch
between good-red (or good-blue)
and evil-blue (or evil-red)

perhaps idealising
a long-past golden age
or a distant future utopia

or a gradual blundering groping
towards unreachable perfect
justice and truth

and in the present moment
some or all of those rainbow shades
are (microcosmically)
in active conflict

Tagportal: worldtree

mirror neurons
must be tasked by the brain
with establishing a ratio
between two 'cultures'
two kinds of knowledge
two points of view

one: the 'external' world
as revealed by the senses
where knowledge naturally
indexes itself
into a 4D cataloguing system

and two:
the internal world
of the psyche running free
(or running constrained)

natural programming-code
trying to monitor itself

indexed only to the shared insights
of the wisdom tradition
the poets and prophets

with no overall shape
no hierarchy of definitions
no formal interrelationships

like a Magic Eightball
mysteriously offering
possibly random fragments of advice

so
my worldtree visualisations
are an attempt to
ground
such wisdom
against the framework
of a standardised graph

a trellis
to hang literature from
and thence to read off
the parameters and dimensions
of complex ideas
